On election night 2008, Obama stood before a joyous crowd and pronounced “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” Progressives truly believe that they are capable of creating utopia on Earth – just that the right people have never tried. If you understand this notion, then you can understand why God is no longer necessary:

Since the hacks at MSNBC omitted black people from their GOP Convention coverage, one can only assume that they are racists. Where is Janene Garofalo?

Therefore, in the interest of race relations, which have been pilloried by the first black President, I present two fine individuals who fit right into our BIG tent:

We’re Not Buying What You’re Selling – Mia Love

I Gather You Have Room for the 6 Million of Us Who Got It Wrong – Artur Davis

On July 19, on behalf of Okaloosa County, Commissioner Dave Parisot hosted county commissioners from eight counties affected by the oil spill and “stakeholders” (mostly environmental groups, state and national). There was talk of regional plans, Northwest Florida being a “clean canvas” with “pots of money” to make green dreams come true. The Nature Conservancy made its pitch: One dream is to acquire Tri-County Small Area Studies properties in north Okaloosa, but only from “willing sellers,” of course. No one could say what strings are attached to RESTORE dollars.

The conference center was reserved, people traveled from faraway places, but the public wasn’t told. Why? Because we aren’t “stakeholders.”

The Okaloosa County Commission has embraced a more progressive form of governance. No messy public debate. Invited “stakeholders” meet in little-publicized meetings over a period of time. Once their plan is formed, a big splash is made inviting the public to join in their “vision” of your future. A “visioning” meeting is led by a trained “facilitator,” guiding participants to the desired outcome. Any opposition is dismissed. “Consensus” is reached and submitted to the County Commission to be made law. Over time, this system devolves into a series of “stakeholder councils” or administrative governance by bureaucrats — just as in the old Soviet Union.

In Galveston, TX on June 19, 1865, Major General Gordon Granger of the Union Army proclaimed, “In accordance with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free.” It had been two years since President Lincoln had signed the Emancipation Proclamation, but with this pronouncement, the Juneteenth tradition was born that celebrates the end of slavery in the United States.

Tuesday, June 19, 2012, U.S, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued a statement in honor of Juneteenth:

“I hope all Texans will join me in celebrating Juneteenth, commemorating the emancipation of slaves in the United States and an observance that originated here in Texas. Juneteenth is a fitting day for each of us to celebrate the freedoms all Americans hold dear and pay tribute to the men and women who have fought and sacrificed for justice and liberty since our nation’s founding.”

A Senate resolution has been introduced by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) and Carl Levin that would designate June 19th,  Juneteenth Independence Day a National Day of Observance. Senator Cornyn is a co-sponsor, and more co-sponsors are needed – contact your senators today!

President Obama should be contacted as well, because while he recognized Ramadan, Chinese New Year and Cinco de Mayo, he did not recognize Juneteenth.  Instead, he an issued an unconstitutional Executive Order to grant amnesty to an estimated 800,000 illegals.   The President added fuel to the fire of unemployment of Hispanics at 11.0 percent and blacks at 13.6 percent.

Fourth of July, my tea party had a booth at the Dependence Day celebration. The local Democrats were there too. They sent their very own versions of Debbie Wasserman Shultz over to harass us. One of them, a woman, said that she supports Barack Obama because her husband was kicked out of the Navy because of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell . . .

Every single day, I get a mailbox full of junk mail from politicians from places I have never even been, or care to go. Then there is the recurring “survey” from John Bonehead, Speaker of the House. John wants to know if Obamacare should be repealed AGAIN. John wants to know if I think that Obama is doing a shoddy job. John doesn’t want to get down and dirty and fight like a Democrat.

Then there is the dynamic duo of the RNC and candidate Mitt Romney. They can’t seem to chew gum and tie their shoes at the same time. Mitt Romney wants us to know that he is a most honorable candidate, when all the while the Chicago machine is running circles around his campaign – and my country is sitting slam dab in the middle of a Marxist coup.

Give me someone, anyone, who gives a damn that we are in for the fight of our lives.

Ayn Rand was in high school during the Bolshevik revolution. She escaped Soviet Russia to be a screen writer in Hollywood and never looked back. Her 1200 page novel, Atlas Shrugged, challenges your endurance – mental and physical. Lately I’ve been re-reading We the Living. Ayn Rand said that it was the closest story to her life in Russia.

We the Living is full of tips for life under communism – it includes mandatory party meetings, prostitution for healthcare, payoffs to party officials for heat and fuel, class warfare, rotten food, when available – and sharing your very own home with the Russian equivalent of occupiers.  Among the most important tips are to shout “Eat the rich,” “Yes, we can!” and “FORWARD!” despite your hunger – toe the party line – join a union or no ration card for you.

Within the last month, Bill Ayers, domestic terrorist and friend of the President, said that capitalism is over. Hmm . . . there is a YouTube video of an FBI informant that infiltrated Bill Ayers’ Weather Underground. “FBI guy” says he sat in a room with Harvard, Yale and Columbia grads who said that when the revolution happens, those capitalists that could not be re-educated would have to be eliminated. The 1970’s estimate was 20 million.

So if you are planning to vote again for the Marxist in Chief, you better go to the library to bone up on your boot-licking skills. Don’t bother reading Atlas Shrugged – we’re living it.
